Apricote Studios was founded by Quentin Pain in 1985 to develop accounting software for the Acorn Computers platform. By the demise of Acorn, it became the market leader of both home and business accounting software.
Quentin Pain then went on to found Accountz.com Ltd (1999) who developed the Personal Accounts range of home accounting software.
